With its auspicious goal to produce competent and efficient human resource that can be instrumental in conservation and management of biodiversity, environment and natural resources and  development of rural communities, the IOF-PC, with the help of its enthusiastic teaching faculty and spirited staff, has always endeavored to ameliorate its academic environment and administer well designed educational programs that can address the current needs of the country  and the globe in forestry and allied fields. It is committed to satisfying student's quest for knowledge and pragmatic skills that will make all the difference in their professional career. The IOF-PC is currently running the following academic programs:

  2. Master of Science in Natural Resource Management and Rural Development (NRMRD)
  3. Master of Science in Watershed Management (WM)
  4. Master of Science in Community Forestry (CF)
  5. Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Forestry

Beside regular academic programs, it also conducts short-term national and international training and workshops in Forestry and allied subjects.

Being a student of Institute of Forestry is pride in itself. The academic exposure and peaceful environment we get at Institute of Forestry is rare to find anywhere else. Frequent educational tours and excursions have emphasized on practical way of learning. Choosing Forestry after the completion of +2 was the best decision I have ever made.

Forestry is the field which focuses students not only on theoretical but also on practical knowledge. It is the broad area which includes wildlife, soil, watershed, community forest and many more. Institute of forestry, Pokhara Campus is the best academic institution which provides suitable environment to the students for the study. It encourages students to involve themselves in extracurricular activities through the aid of Green organizations of IOF-PC. Supportive hands of teachers during the research works can be felt a lot. Excursions andstudy toursare conducted time to time. Choosing forestry for mycareer and selecting the IOF-PC for my study make me feel so lucky.

IOF-PC is one of the premium colleges under Tribhuwan University where we students get a floor to widen our level of knowledge. It is one of the best collegesthat quench our thirst for knowledge and education in natural resources like forestry, wildlife and soil conservation. Here we get ample opportunities to learn about forest management systems, wildlife conservation and protected areas, their contribution to the nation and future directions of these resources. What I found special about this college is regular guidance, more interactions and sharing of knowledge and information among the teachers and students. Born in the buffer zone of Bardiya National Park, the only dream I always cherished as a child was to work for the forests that I grew along with. As a result of the dream, today I stand here in IOF-PC as a student to pursue my career as a Conservationist. I feel very fortunate to be a member of a large family that aims to motivate each and every single family member to at least add a brick to the conservation pillar that this era dreams to build. The IOF-PC is the oldest forestry college in Nepal that has served for decades by producing skilled and highly motivated students to work for the conservation of nature and its components. Taught by a highly excellent faculty of teachers, the knowledge a student imbibes is of utmost importance. The participatory and practical knowledge approach makes the study procedure here even more interesting and fun. Personally, what I feel is the IOF-PC is not merely an institution but a platform where a student gets to explore the field of nature conservation.
