Research interest

I am associate professor of Natural Resources Management. My background is a PhD from University of Copenhagen on “Livelihoods, Forests, and Poverty in the Nepal Himalaya”. Most of my research is concerned with forest poverty linkages, decentralized natural resource (forest) management and its livelihood improvement potential for local communities. Recently, my research area is gradually shifted towards working with forest resources and mathematical modeling and climate change related issues in developing countries. I have been carried out research in collaboration with colleagues and partners from Nepal, Denmark, Japan, Canada and Ethiopia.
