With its auspicious goal to produce competent and efficient human resource that can be instrumental in conservation and management of biodiversity, environment and natural resources and  development of rural communities, the IOF-PC, with the help of its enthusiastic teaching faculty and spirited staff, has always endeavored to ameliorate its academic environment and administer well designed educational programs that can address the current needs of the country  and the globe in forestry and allied fields. It is committed to satisfying student's quest for knowledge and pragmatic skills that will make all the difference in their professional career. The IOF-PC is currently running the following academic programs:

  2. Master of Science in Natural Resource Management and Rural Development (NRMRD)
  3. Master of Science in Watershed Management (WM)
  4. Master of Science in Community Forestry (CF)
  5. Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Forestry

Beside regular academic programs, it also conducts short-term national and international training and workshops in Forestry and allied subjects.

B.Sc. Forestry Final Year Students’ Virtual Seminar 2077

Institute of Forestry (IOF), Pokhara Campus has started student’s Seminar virtually for the B.Sc. final year students. The seminar is a part of the fulfillment of academic degree conducted in the final semester at bachelor level.  Presentation started from August 27, 2020, 75 students are presenting their project/internship paper in front of the evaluation committee, faculty members, guests and students. Due to the outbreak of global pandemic COVID-19 and the recent decision by Tribhuvan University to conduct seminars remotely, IOF, Pokhara Campus initiated remote/online presentation for its students. The presentation is being conducted through Zoom, which is structured as live oral presentation followed by Q&A session.

The objectives of the seminar includes; provide opportunity to students to develop skills in public presentation, disseminate  findings of the students with wider audience, and enrich academic experience through research work. The online seminar is coordinated by the evaluation committee led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Raj Kumar Koirala. The other members of the evaluation committee are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arjun Prasad Bastola, Assist. Prof. Rajan Subedi, Assist. Prof. Bikash Adhikari, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Jyoti Bhandari. The technical and management aspect of the virtual seminar is handled by Pradip Subedi and logistic support by the supporting staff Rum Bahadhur Khatri and Bishwokranti Singh Danwar.
